Notes from our reviewers

The CLEAN collection is hand-picked and rigorously reviewed for scientific accuracy and classroom effectiveness. Read what our review team had to say about this resource below or learn more about how CLEAN reviews teaching materials.

  • The video can be used to introduce and engage students in impacts of climate change on other more local, species. The method could be used as a template for research on other species and habitats, or as a foundation for a critical thinking exercise on the scientific method, such as: additional fieldwork or analysis, challenges or limitations, hypothesis testing, making correlations with other data, (other research is mentioned in the video), and iteration. There is a focus on microclimate, which isn't often covered at middle school level so teachers at this level may need to help students with background information.
