David Herring to speak at U.S. Conference of Mayors

CPO CEE Division Chief David Herring will attend the U.S. Conference of Mayors Leadership Meeting in Miami, FL, on March 4. Co-sponsored by Wells Fargo, this convening of roughly 35-40 mayors from small, medium, and large cities across the nation will discuss climate-driven extreme events, and actions they can take to protect their citizens, property, and infrastructure. David was invited to present a high-level climate science overview, with emphasis on observed and projected future climate impacts, what mayors need to know, and what are the key barriers to taking action. He will also participate in a discussion panel that will address topics ranging from greenhouse gas mitigation to climate adaptation and resilience-building.
