Teaching Tips

A directed approach for students to use the resource is recommended, as it is a significant amount of information, and there is no assessment provided to assess how much information students actually retain. A large proportion of the material is talking heads, so breaking up the talking heads with discussion questions or reflection would be useful.

A collaborative teaching tool to utilize with students in group settings, especially as you enter Chapter 2 where questions are answered by world policy makers. Chapters could be jigsawed, or questions could be jigsawed, but either way the entire interactive provides a vehicle for students to think critically about climate change.

Educators can front-load the use of this resource by creating a worksheet or essay question that asks students to pull out information from the site.
