As our COP21 Window Into Paris program approaches, Climate Generation will be featuring an educator in our delegation each week to share their thoughts on the program and how they plan to incorporate their experience at the UN climate change negotiations into their classrooms.

This week’s featured educator is Roy Lander, a middle school science teacher at The Galloway School in Atlanta, Georgia. Roy is also the camp director of a technology camp during the summers, and is excited to engage students across his whole school in the COP21 negotiations through technology-driven, inquiry-based activities.

Excerpt from video: “I’ve been looking for areas in my instruction where I felt like I could make a bigger difference than just the teaching piece, and climate change seemed to be an area that was ripe for that,” says Roy. “Being able to teach kids that they could make conscious choices that impact their futures is a very powerful thing for me.”
