Webinar: Adaptation and Forest Management in Great Lakes Forests
This free webinar will help explain how forest managers and landowners in the Great Lakes area are adapting to climate change.
The Climate Change Response Framework is a collaborative effort to help with this challenge and encourage climate-informed forest management. A major focus of this project is to build a network of adaptation demonstration projects, to provide real-world examples from a variety of ownerships and forest types. This presentation will share examples of the consistent approach that unites all of these demonstration projects and different ways forest managers and landowners are adapting to climate change.
Stephen Handler, a climate change specialist with the Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science, will present. Handler coordinates the Northwoods Climate Change Response Framework, a collaborative approach to encouraging climate-informed forest management. He will provide webinar attendees with custom-made, real-world examples of adaptation and forest management in the Great Lakes forests.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 from 12 - 1 p.m. EST. Registration is free. To register click here. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with log-in information.
