Coastal Processes and Environments Under Sea-Level Rise and Changing Climate: Science to Inform Management
The Geological Society of America is sponsoring a conference on coastal management and sea level rise. The conference is intended to increase scientific and public awareness of the realities of global change and its impacts on coastal environments. The agenda includes talks, case studies, and field trips about short-term and long-term impacts of accelerated sea-level rise, climatically induced alteration in sediment delivery to coasts, increased frequency of severe storms, and anthropogenic exacerbation of coastal change.
Participation is limited to 80 individuals. To apply to attend, send a brief statement of interest explaining relevant recent work, the subject of a proposed presentation, and contact information to John Anderson.
